Preparing For Fall Enrollments 2017
There is strong evidence showing that young children who participate in high-quality pre-k programs enter school more ready to learn than their peers. The national Early Childhood Longitudinal Study—Kindergarten Cohort shows that students who attended a pre-k program scored higher on reading and math tests than children receiving parental care. – See more at: Center For Public Education
Choosing the right option that best suits the needs for your child is a vital decision to consider at the early developmental stages. A classroom no longer has to be a one size fits all. Many pre-k students are excelled well above were the standards are for Georgia public education guidelines, or have more individualized needs that need more focus. While Brenwood Academy offers one of the top chosen Georgia pre-k programs in the Canton area, we encourage you to consider the benefits of both our Georgia pre-k program and our private pre-k program that is rapidly growing.

Entrust us to provide high quality preschool experiences for your child and allow us to prepare your child for kindergarten…and life. We have cherished each of the thousands of children who have been served by Brenwood Academy’s Georgia Lottery Funded Pre-Kindergarten Program since 1993.
The success of Georgia’s children and the program is due to our partnership with the Georgia Department of Early Learning and Care. Guided by Georgia’s Pre-Kindergarten standards, each classroom provides opportunities for learning and growth in:
- Language and Literacy Development
- Mathematical Development
- Scientific Development
- Social Studies Development
- Creative Development
- Social and Emotional Development
- Health and Physical Development
The Pre-Kindergarten environment encourages children to have fun while learning. They learn not only from their classroom experiences but from each other, which has a significant impact on their success according to Georgia State University research.
Any child can benefit from the program if they are four years of age on September 1st of the current school year and their parents are Georgia residents.
Each Pre-Kindergarten Class:
- has no more than 22 children
- features a lead teacher and assistant teacher
- provides a 6.5 hour instructional day
- is taught with approved curriculum
- communicates with parents and involves families
- is evaluated annually.
